Happy Third Birthday!

On Sunday the 16th, Parker turned THREE!  What's up with that?  We had a small party at our place and everything turned out great!  Thanks again to everyone for coming (especially if you had to drive a loooong way).  Here are some photos from the day!
Scott brought a crazy gigantic bubble maker!
Parker chasing after the bubble that looks like the blob from The Abyss.
Milo going for a drive.
Parker actually popping the gigantic bubble with his face.
Enjoying the nice weather!
Milo and Gemma!
Having a serious discussion with Nana.
Chasing Milo for a hug.  At least Milo isn't running in terror!
More chasing Milo for like a zombie for a hug.  Or to eat his brains.
Mmmmm....  BBQ'd birthday hot dogs....
Laughing at something funny (Scott was doing something goofy, I think).
"Cheeeeeeeeeeese!"
Ooooooo, a box with things in it!  His socks are gone and his pants are rolled up because he decided to step in the bowl of bubble making stuff earlier.
There was a present that had alphabet wrapping paper, so when Parker saw the letters he broke out into the ABC song, complete with a jig and some clapping.
Using his gigantic bear hands to palm a present.
Nana cheering him on.
ZOMG IT'S A SHIRT!!!!!  YESSSSSSSS!!!
Parker has recently figured out the awesomeness that is playing drums on Rock Band, so this shirt is appropriate.
I asked him to show me what the present was, and he jammed into the front of the camera lens.  I am just a camera to him.
If your child has not experienced a singing/talking/musical card yet, you need to go out and get them one immediately.
Here comes the caaaaake!
He's been talking about eating cake and ice cream all week to anyone who would listen to him.
Blowing out his three candles!
Hooray!
Yummy Dora cake, from "Celebrate With A Cake" in Kingston.
Sweet, sweet chocolate cake.  Although I think he actually liked the icing more.
Om nom nom nom!

Random Things Parker Says

When he thinks something sounds good he says, "That sounds like good!"

We were at Toyota waiting for our car to be serviced and he was looking into the garage and thought it was kind of weird.  He then went around asking everyone if they were, "scared about the garage."

He likes to randomly smile and say, "I love you Mommy, I love you Daddy, I love you Baby Sister!"

While we're eating lunch or dinner together, he'll all of a sudden say, "FAMILY HUGS!!!!" at which point it's our obligation to get up and give him a big hug at the same time.

He calls hamburgers hangubers.

Sometimes while listening to music Parker will randomly say, "I LOVE this song!" when a new song comes on.

Dinner With Scott, Gemma, and Milo!

Here are some photos from our playdate/dinner with Scott, Gemma, and Milo the other night!  Thanks again for an awesome time!  :D
Milo stopping to smile for the camera!
Milo was showing Parker how to use his cool kitchen toy.
DO YOU WANT SOME FISH CRACKERS, GARRETT???????????
Playing with a cool spinny toy.

Playing with a cool train toy.
Watching Parker as they played with the train.

Grocery Shopping

Here are some random photos from our morning the other day.  Here's Parker sporting his Muno shirt, which was very controversial for him to wear because he thought there was still hair inside the shirt from when he got a haircut ages ago.  Luckily I was able to convince him that our washing machine did its job and the hair was all gone.
Getting ready for a drive.
Getting ready to give me a zombie death stare.
Here we are at Loblaws!  This is an exciting grocery store for 3 reasons.  1) It has an elevator, and Parker loves elevators.  2) It has one of those plastic puppy donation things, and Parker loves giving the puppy hugs and money.  3) Our cooking classes happen here (although we didn't go today because we had other stuff to do), and they're fun.
No matter which grocery store we go to (and we go to the Amherstview Foodland A LOT) our ritual is to always stop and get a piece of "bread", which can either be a croissant or some other type of roll.  He loves to munch on it while we go up and down the aisles.
Taking a bite of bread.
Enjoying a gigantic bite of bread.
Outside in the cart after I loaded everything into the trunk.  He likes it when we "bonk the carts" by putting the cart back in the cart holder area while he's still sitting in it.  One thing I've learned since having a kid is that the best parking spot is always the one next to the cart return area, even if it's the cart return area at the other end of the parking lot.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day, everyone! Parker and I went to his cooking class on Friday and made some special Mother's Day muffins and a cool homemade card! April and Parker are in Brockville right now, but when they come home there might be a few other gifts for her as well.....

(hopefully she doesn't read this before she gets home)  :D

And to honour Mother's Day, here's a photo of a mother and her son, bathing inside the body of a sleeping swan wearing a crown.

Yeah.

Parker Recommends......

Grilled cheese sandwiches! Parker and I went to Stooley's for lunch today with Scott and had some pretty awesome grilled cheese sandwiches. And their fries are good, too. April really likes their California Club, too. If you're in Kingston and looking for a quick, cheap, decent meal check out Stooley's!

Funny Talk

Sometimes if Parker is sad he says the funniest thing: "I want to be sad FOREVER!" It always makes me laugh because it's so over the top. But then he usually cheers up a few minutes later and is good to go. :D

Cute Song

April took Parker to the mall the other day and on the drive home he spontaneously broke into a new version of his goodnight song. It goes to the tune of something but I can't think of the song right now for some reason! When he woke up this morning and I went in to go get him, he started singing it again! It went like this:

I love Daddy
I love Daddy
I love Daddy
I have a hug for you!

Awwwwwww......

Weird Al On Yo Gabba Gabba?!

Weird Al made an appearance on one of the latest episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba all about the circus! He plays the Ring Master and breaks out a super catchy circus parade song on his accordion. Check out a quick sample here! Yo Gabba Gabba continues to be the greatest children's television program ever created.

Shorts And T-Shirt!

It's getting pretty hot and humid out so Parker thought he'd wear his new shorts and t-shirt today.

This is a photo he took of himself.
Playing with those wire bead maze things.
It's hot out! But I think it's going to rain soon.

Parker's Blog Sells Out!

So there's this option within Blogger to "monetize" your blog, which means you could potentially get paid to show ads on the site. I've never really believed you would actually get paid for it, so I'm trying an experiment. I signed up for Google's Ad Sense program and now Parker's blog will be sprinkled with two (I think) ads -- one in the side bar and one in between posts. I have no idea what the ads will be for (hopefully not adult dating sites) but if it gets too annoying or doesn't actually work (which I think will be the case) I'll just disable everything and it will go back to normal. So for maybe the next month you might have to just look around an ad or two. Sorry!
