Jinx!

I jinxed us by saying Lauren was sleeping well yesterday.  Apparently she woke up around 10 pm and April brought her into our bed, so I never heard her on the monitor!  I thought she was asleep the whole time but it turns out she wasn't.  Woops.

Lauren 1, Constipation 0

We've managed to survive another week of two kids!  So far Lauren has been a pretty cool baby -- she eats a lot and sleeps a lot and seems pretty happy for the most part.  She went through a brief bout of constipation yesterday so she was kind of cranky (and her sleep was a bit thrown off) but she's back to her normal self today and has slept pretty much all night since 6 pm.  She enjoys sitting upright and being patted on the back, looking at things, and long walks on the beach.  Here she is relaxing with mommy.

She seems to be gaining weight and getting bigger every day, too!  It's crazy how fast they go from wrinkly newborn to actual baby.  

Nana & Papa Visit!

Nana and Papa came up last weekend to visit April, Parker, and Lauren while I was away shooting weddings!  Here they are hanging out in the back yard and enjoying some nice weather!

I'm convinced Lauren looks a lot like Parker except that she's a girl, she has dark hair, and she has a lot of dark hair.  Here are some photo comparisons to back up my case.  Am I the only one who sees the resemblance?

More Photos And Updates

Here are some photos from our trip to the park the other day!  Lauren mostly slept, but it was probably nice for her to be outside for a change!

So far she's doing really well!  She's almost back up to her birth weight, and she's sleeping and eating a lot.  She likes to lay on her side and is sleeping for good stretches in the night.  Parker is adjusting well to being a big brother, too.  He loves to help change her diaper (his official jobs are to pull a wipe from the box and put the diaper in the Diaper Genie).  At first, whenever Lauren would cry, Parker would get really sad and start to cry too but now he's doing a bit better.  He likes to give her lots of hugs and kisses (I'll post videos soon) and seems to really like her so far!

Even though he looks mildly depressed, he cheered up pretty quickly.

April had a good question the other day.  She said, "What are you going to do for family trips and stuff?  Which blog will get the post?" and I never really thought about that before.  So I think what I might do is keep Parker's blog until his fourth birthday and Lauren's blog until her first birthday, print some books, and then merge them into one big Elliott Family blog or website or something.  So we'll see how that goes!
