Random Photos Of Kids Being Kids

When Parker was 3 months old we put him in a little Bumbo chair.  Here's a picture for comparison with Lauren in the same Bumbo at around 3.5 months old!  Do they look like brother and sister?

I think Parker was a bit more rotund.  And he has my gigantic head.
 Parker and Baby.

 Portrait of Baby.

I told Parker his job was to make Lauren laugh so I could get a happy photo.
 Good job, sidekick!

Crazy hair.  She has a super cowlick on her crown that might bug her when she gets older.  These are the before-haircut photos!

 Reading about Bertie the bus.
Reading to Lauren about Bertie the bus.
Maybe both of our kids have crazy cowlicks in their hair?  Or maybe we should just comb their hair every now and then?

Meeting Santa!

Every year the township hosts an event called "Light Up The Season" where they have a bunch of activities for families and then kids can meet Santa!  Here are some photos from this year:
Mmmmm....  hot dogs.....
Check out the steam from that guy's breath.  It was COLD.
Hot chocolate that was about the same temperature as molten lava.
 Horse wagon rides.
Parker looking a bit apprehensive about meeting Santa.  We tried to prep him by showing him the photos from last year, and the year before that.
He didn't want to get very close to Santa this year.
He told Santa he wanted another orange for Christmas.
But he did get a candy cane, which he was really psyched about.
 Cheeeeese!
 Lauren smiling at Mommy.

Santa flipping a big switch that turns on all the lights in the park.
A good time was had by all!  And before we left, Parker said, "Oh!  I forgot to say bye bye to Santa!" so we went over to him and Parker said, "Bye Santa!", which was pretty cute (considering he's pretty shy).

Ready For Winter

Bring on the cold!

Crazy Faces!!!!1111eleven

I asked Parker to show me a bunch of emotions and here's what he came up with.
Just goofing around.
Angry.
Sad face (I'm still not sure why he thinks this looks sad, but he does)
I don't remember what this one was!  Ummm.....sly?  Mischievous?
 Laughing.
Normal.
 Surprised!
 Happy.
 Super happy!
DJ Lance (okay, this isn't an emotion).
 More goofing around.

Reading Is Fundamental

Parker reading a book to Lauren.

Parker has an ongoing battle with "name tags" (the tag in the collar of a shirt).  He thought this one had a name tag that was "itching" him, so he kept tugging on it.
Check out his crazy bent finger!  The second knuckles on his index fingers don't quite straighten out when he points for some reason, but it's extra exaggerated here because he's pressing against the page.
Lauren's face is hilarious in this one!

 Pleased with his reading.
