Books and Visitors

April reading a book to Lauren and Parker.  And Baby.

Anne Marie came over to meet Lauren and her daughter played with Parker!  Future baby sitter, perhaps?
Anne Marie and Lauren are having a good laugh about that time Anne Marie fell into a snow bank face first.  Good times!

Lauren's First Hair Cut!

We finally took Lauren for her first hair cut after only 4 months of existence!  Parker had his first hair cut at 15 months so Lauren has him beat in the hair generating department.  Here are some photos!
Pre-haircut posing with Mommy.
 Snip snip!

'Eyyyy!  It's not so bad!
 Being cute for Shirley.
Parker watched some Yo Gabba Gabba in the chair next to Lauren.

 Mmmm....  vinyl cape...

Mmmm...  Mommy's neck....
Lauren makes the best faces.  This one kind of reminds me of the Get To The Choppah! baby.
 Happy!
 Hooray for shorter hair!
 Is she done yet?
Haha!  So funny.  Sorry, Lauren!  :D

Happy New Year (and Merry Christmas)!

It seems like we've been busy, um, most of December!  So I'm a bit behind in my blog posts.  Happy new year! It's 2011!  And also Christmas happened!  And a bunch of other stuff happened, too!  Here are a million old photos that I've had sitting around.
Can you tell we went through a phase where we ate out a lot?  Here's Parker pretending to be a waiter.  He could probably apply for a job tomorrow and get it.  He had everything down to a T, except actually writing things down.
At least he's kind-of-sort-of holding the pencil properly!  Hooray!

That toy in front of Parker sort of simulates driving.  He wanted to be sure Lauren was in her chair behind him like when we put the kids into car seats in the real car.  He had a good time driving them around the city.
 Lauren hanging out!

 DROOL.

Hanging out in her Bumbo chair some more.  Doing her best Blue Steel.
Lauren is not pleased with being squished.
 Cheeeeeese!
 Headbuuuuuutts!

 Happy baby!
Not so happy baby?  Gums look so weird without teeth!
 Happy baby again!
For Christmas, my parents got Parker this awesome gear toy (I think it's just called Gears!  Gears!  Gears!) where you hook gears together in different patterns and then watch them spin.  We made a super crazy tall tower filled with gears on both sides and then packed the base with gears, and when you turned the crank each gear spun a different direction!  Awesome.
Getting ready to place the crank.

 Go gears go!
 Relaxing on his chair.
 Parker is old and huge!
